By now I'm sure many of you know that I have a not-so-secret crush on Michael Wood of the BBC. Here's his unbelievable documentary on ancient civilizations. I couldn't establish the video player directly on the site, so the link will take you straight to it:
Enjoy.

Blanton Museum Tour
I've included a few links below. Of course, being physically present at the museum is the best way to experience some of the pieces. However, these links will be helpful to remind you of your visit or, in the case of the unlucky few, get you there for the first time.
This is a link to the the room of statues. You may move and click the cursor to get a 360 degree view of the room, and zoom in on any of the pieces.
Statues at the Blanton
This is a link to an interactive museum tour. You can navigate through all of the rooms and see the different exhibits. It is a lot of fun.
Interactive Blanton Tour
Here is the general link to the museum's homepage.

Animated Maps: Empires and Religions
I've included a couple of animated maps to show the political and religous changes over time in the areas that we have been studying. You will not be tested over this, but it is helpful to have an overview that puts some of the more specific information we've covered into context.
This animation shows many of the empire changes in the Middle East.
This Video shows the spread of world religions over time. This isn't 100% accurate, but it is still an interesting animation. Unfortunately the audio has been disabled, play your favorite, 2 minute song while you watch it.
